I rented a Rocky Mountain mountain bike from Poison Spider Bikes which is right across the street from the hotel. The owner gave me directions and sent me on my way. I'm guessing I got in 25 miles and I'm wiped out. I rode from noon to 4 pm and drank constantly on the trail. It was fun. I guess I can say I rode Moab even if I didn't get to ride Slick Rock. By the time I got to the shop the owner said it wouldn't be wise to do that trail. The ambient was in the 90's and he said the rock up there absorbs the heat and bakes you on days like that. But about an hour into my ride the sky clouded up so it wasn't that bad. Oh well, maybe next time.....
